SOLD – Measures 11 x 16 x 11/4 – Year indicator cut from various license plates and attached to a quarter panel from a 53-54 Cadillac. This piece reminds me of old barns and garages I grew up around. Often there would be decaying old license plates patching a hole or just laying under decades of dust. I loved the smell of those places, old grease, hay, maybe a little note of engine exhaust. Who know why the owners kept the plates, perhaps just for the sheet metal. For me they documented the passage of time.
